current web-site development

This site, whilst fully functional in its present form, is still being improved and more content added.  Currently it has trial features, temporary images, etc, and there will be changes. But it has been made accessible to members now to allow for constructive feed-back. As a 'content managed system', flag officers will become responsible for maintaining content rather than everything being reliant on one web-site administrator.

Swing bridge closure 28 May 2012

We have just been informed that due to essential maintenance, the Swing bridge will be out of action on the 28th of May between 0700 - 1700.  The work will be carried out in "bridge open" position so the only way to access the tidal basin during this period will be via the seafront.

Epitaph On A Friend

An honest man here lies at rest,
The friend of man, the friend of truth,
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm'd,
Few heads with knowledge so inform'd;
If there's another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.

Port of Dover Notice

Notice to Mariners 18/2012 - Outer Harbour – West Buoy

The Fl.Y.4s West Buoy marking the NW end of the designated Anchorage Area in the Outer Harbour, has suffered significant damage to the upper part of the structure and is presently unlit.
It is anticipated that the buoy will be lifted by the dredger ‘David Church’ sometime later today (2nd May) and landed ashore at the DCT to effect necessary repairs.
Once repairs have been completed, the West Buoy buoy will then be redeployed to its previous charted position, with this Notice to Mariners (18/2012), self-cancelling as a result.

Club Merchandise - look smart and support your Club!

Watch this space for new arrangements on all items

Lesley now has access to a superb range of clothing, both ladies’ and gents’, and some samples are available to view and try on in the office. There is also a catalogue of available items at the Bar.  As soon as we can, we will put some examples here on our website, but the best plan is to go and see our range in the Clubhouse.

The club logo and your own boat name can be added at a very small cost. Our suppliers can also set up your own design for a reasonable initial cost, and they do a very fine job of the embroidery.

Contact Lesley on 01304-206262 for more inforation.
