how to manage 'long' articles for our visitors

Sometimes our articles become quite long, and when visitors look through our pages there is simply too much to read - it looks cumbersome and they have to waste time scrolling down content to find something of interest to read.  To help resolve this irritation the system enables you to cut short your article at a convenient point, and replace the rest of the article with a 'read more' button! - click here for video on how to manage long articles

how to prepare and write notices for the noticeboard

The notice board is specifically for short term notices - upcoming events, harbour or marina issues, etc.  The process is identical to the writing and editing of articles, but content needs to be kept short and concise. There are two requirements - that the category allocated is 'noticeboard' and that an expiry or 'finish publishing' date is placed on the article (after which date it is automatically 'un-published).

Note that articles may be text, images (if you want an 'advert style' notice), or both.  The maximum image size is 285 pixels.
